T-battens are vertical battens or planks. The free ends of wall logs that are cut off because of doors, windows and masonry are supported by T-battens.
The T-battens can be door, window or fire battens depending on their purpose.
The T-batten is installed so that it does not prevent the descent of the wall above it. The logs rest on T-batten tongues with similar slots as in butt joints.
