Manual felling is done as logger labour. Forwarders are used for the forest haulage. Mainly plywood birch or trees in difficult terrains are felled this way.
Logging specialty wood often means felling single or a few trees at a time. Therefore, it is reasonable to do it as logger labour. All trees and bushes that grow arborescent are usable material for producers of different kinds of wood products.
Before starting the felling, the stand is marked for cutting with, for example, fibre strings. Marking the stand for cutting is indispensable, in order for the loggers to know how to identify the destination to be felled.
